Another painting that will be entered into a contest in less than a month and I REALLY need help on the background, its just grey for the time being (it's not going to be the background) So any tips anyone can give me would be wonderful!! other than that, all I need to do is finish her hair and face and its all good :)

BTW the text on the bottom isnt on the painting, just for when im uploading it here. Not that anyone would steal it but you never know :shrug:

Critiquing is great, tell me what I need to do to improve the piece, but dont flame saying "This sucks...Ect"

Also if it doesnt make it far in the contest, Ill most likely sell it, if anyone is intrested.

it looks absolutely gorgeous! great job!

I agree with darkpiano7 about the contrasting background. if you want the figure to pop out, don't make the background too crisp.
You can also do a drippy/wave-like effect going down the canvas since the hair and shirt are horizontal. :)

Wow, this is gorgeous! I love all the different colors, especially the eyelashes. The way they stick out from the green eyes and colored hair is really nice. :aww:
